Unwavering Faith: Do You Really Trust God?

God is always after your heart. Have you truly surrendered to Him?

Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you according to His will?

Have you truly laid everything before Him…your family, friends, job, finances, health,…?

Have you allowed yourself to let go of circumstances?

Tremendous joy, peace, and revelation happens when your heart is right with God, regardless of what’s happening in your life.

Allowing God to guide you is necessary.

Just know this…

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO MIXTURE AS A BELIEVER IN GOD!

The answer to the title of this blog is not just based on your verbal response. It’s predicated on the fruit in your life. It’s the Holy Spirit that gives you power to overcome sin and to live according to His word. (Galatians 5:16-23)

The Bible is very clear about the life of a believer.

YOU MUST GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS TO TRULY BE SET FREE FROM SIN!

Believers should not be okay with smoking weed, drinking alcohol, or partaking in any other kind of vices.

Why would you need it? A true encounter with Jesus and the Holy Spirit will set you free!

JESUS IS BETTER THAN ANY SEXUAL ENCOUNTER, DRUG, DRINK, HIGH, or IDOL!

Having a relationship with Jesus is not boring.

You can’t “straddle the fence” between sinner and believer.

Exodus 20:3-6

“3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”

Galatians 5:16-23

“16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Gone are the days for faking that you love God. The Word of God is very clear and precise.

Gone are the days of enjoying your sinful lifestyle. You will reap what you sow.

“7 Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. 8 Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. 9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:7-9)

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 clearly states how we are to live as believers.

“14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? 15 What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? 16 And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said:

“I will live in them

and walk among them.

I will be their God,

and they will be my people.

17 Therefore, come out from among unbelievers,

and separate yourselves from them, says the LORD.

Don’t touch their filthy things,

and I will welcome you.

18 And I will be your Father,

and you will be my sons and daughters,

says the LORD Almighty.”

Your life will be on clear display whether you believe God and follow His ways, or you choose a life of sin.

YOU MUST CHOOSE WHOM YOU ARE GOING TO SERVE!

“But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15)

God loves you and gives you the free will to choose Him.

I will say it again… GOD LOVES YOU, BUT YOU MUST CHOOSE HIM!

Isaiah 54:10

“For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken”,  says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Ephesians 3:19

“May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God”.

Do you really trust God? He’s waiting. It’s time to surrender.
