Here I am. Sitting in front of a window with a beautiful view of snow-sprinkled trees swaying in a gentle, cold wind with tiny pellet ice crystals tapping the glass. Perspective is so very different at higher level views. Upper floors offer an exclusive “face-to-face” interaction with trees that uncover a magnificent reality of strength and endurance.

Trees don’t get a choice of where they will be placed, nor do they get to choose what surrounds them. When planted properly, they will always respond with their created purpose.

But sitting here and watching them in full view of their winter nakedness makes me wonder.

Colossians 2:6-7 says, “6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.”

In a world full of false teachers and senseless arguments among those that say they believe and those who do not, we, as true believers, are to stand firm being utterly full of Christ.

The simplicity through worship and prayer unto God draws us deeper into maturity with Him in the secret place.

As I look out the window, reflecting on His goodness and praying, I don’t worship the snow-covered trees or the animals that scurry along their trunks. I glorify God and the wonderfulness of His creation!

Being obedient to God and His instructions is packaged with unlimited variations!

I woke up this morning speaking directly to Him with child-like giggles and a smile that bared all my teeth. His presence is always with us when we surrender our lives to Him.

All of Heaven rejoices when you awake! Oh, how God longs to be with you throughout your day and night!

How do you exist with Him? Does He dwell with you and adorn you with His beauty?

Does He answer questions when you awake or remind you of a funny joke that makes you laugh?

Do you ignore Him?

What do you say to Him? Are you always talking and not taking the time to listen?

God is REAL, and so is His presence!

Your job or everyday living doesn’t change the fact that Jesus is always the same today, yesterday, and forever! (Hebrews 13:8).

In this time of prayer and worship…in the beauty of His stillness, I heard one of my favorite songs, “There Is A River,” playing in my spirit that took me to study the following scripture:

Psalm 46:4-7:

4 A river brings joy to the city of our God,

    the sacred home of the Most High.

5 God dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed.

    From the very break of day, God will protect it.

6 The nations are in chaos,

    and their kingdoms crumble!

God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts!

7 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;

    the God of Israel is our fortress. “

What a beautiful sight to behold!

God is with us!

Psalm 46: 8-11 continues

8 Come, see the glorious works of the Lord:

See how he brings destruction upon the world.

9 He causes wars to end throughout the earth.

    He breaks the bow and snaps the spear;

    he burns the shields with fire.

10 “Be still, and know that I am God!
    I will be honored by every nation.
    I will be honored throughout the world.”

11 The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us;
    the God of Israel is our fortress.

What a beautiful expression of a God who loves us!

Know that He is God, and He does not lie!

Be still and know!

Will you surrender to God and accept His invitation to trust Him above all else?

Let His River REFRESH you!

Let His River RENEW you!

Let His River WASH YOUR SINS AWAY!

May He restore you to His fullness of JOY!
