Heart’s Cry for Fathers: Do Not Remove the Landmark Set by the Father

Happy Father’s Day Month to all the fathers!

One of the most beautiful and powerful moves among families on this Earth is not just fathers following the Father, but fathers honoring other fathers.

1 Corinthians 11:3 states “But there is one thing I want you to know: The head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.”

Ephesians 5:23 says ” For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church.”

With God being the foundation of man and husbands submitting to God the Father, there shouldn’t be such a lack of honor among fathers connecting to other fathers.

Exodus 20:12 states “Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.”

My heart cries for the awakening and healing of men and fathers on this Earth.

There are so many men who have unhealed places concerning their fathers and their fathers have endured the same. The cycle continues until there comes a point where no one cares about having families and being united.

So much brokenness and division has become the norm for society. If the world isn’t healing men and fathers, then who is? With all the ways of getting healing and help, every man has to have a foundation as mentioned in the prior scriptures.

2 Timothy 4:1-5

“1 I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom:

2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.

5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.”

Apostle Paul’s life exemplified fatherhood all while many rejected what he was saying as he followed the instructions of God with disciplining others.

2 Corinthians 6:4-10

“4 In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind.

5 We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food.

6 We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love.

7 We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense.

8 We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors.

9 We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed.

10 Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.”

1 Corinthians 3:2-3

“2 The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our  hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. 3 Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.”

This cry for Godly fatherhood throughout the earth deals with having the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) operating in the lives of men and submission of their hearts unto God, the Father.

The enemy has been so subtle, yet right in our faces via social media and within family.

Have you noticed that many other groups are acknowledged for an entire month while honoring and recognizing fathers only get one day?

As a woman, I love being honored and acknowledged, but where would any person be without men or fathers? We would all be non-existent!

Proverbs 22:28 says “Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.”

It’s vitally important that you understand that fathers set the foundations, the order of things, the direction, and the principles.

1 Corinthians 4:15-16-Paul’s Relationship with the Corinthians

“15 For even if you had ten thousand others to teach you about Christ, you have only one spiritual father. For I became your father in Christ Jesus when I preached the Good News to you. 16 So I urge you to imitate me.”

Fathers are ordained by God and necessary for bringing forth God’s Kingdom.

Fathers, may you…

Be acknowledged for who you are in God!

May God heal you of any brokenness and strengthen you!

You are not forgotten.

May you be honored and celebrated daily throughout the earth!
